No bid for the painting of Michael Jackson

A portrait painted by Australian artist Brett-Livingstone Strong for which Michael Jackson had raised no takers when its owner was auctioned on the eBay.com website.

It is since last April that the painting entitled The Book, showing Michael Jackson sitting in his Neverland Ranch in California, and wearing his famous red jacket, is featured on eBay.com.

Although the value of the artwork was valued at $ 5.3 million in 2000, the painting, the minimum bet was set at $ 2.75 million, received no offers of purchase.

Marc Samson, head of sales, said he was considering other options now with Marty Abrams, the current owner of the web to find a potential buyer.

Marty Abrams bought the painting in 1992 of a wealthy Japanese businessman. He explained last April that he had kept the painting in a New Jersey warehouse for more than 17 years before finally exposing it briefly to the showroom Dancy-Power Automotive in Harlem, the death of Michael Jackson.
