Actor Kiefer Sutherland, who plays Jack Bauer in the series 24, has been the victim of a scam that cost him dear, Daily News reported.

The actor and several other clients who invested in livestock have been victims of fraud that would amount to more than one million dollars.
According to the explanations Attorney Michael Carr, a livestock manager of Linden, Calif., was to buy cattle to Mexico for its clients and resell to the U.S. in order to make profits.
Sutherland had never met this man who defrauded investors of hundreds of thousands of dollars, but he was still trusted, seeing that he had no criminal record to his credit.
Carr had withdrawn an amount of $ 869 000 in Sutherland, and $ 177 000 for a couple of New Mexico.
The prosecutor’s office said that no documents proving that Carr has already purchased the cattle and he even sold that do not belong to him.
Carr will be judged on 12 counts and he will go before the judge on 8 February. The scammer could face a sentence of 18 years in prison.
